pep-SN8
SNAP-8 is a synthetic acetylated octapeptide (acetyl octapeptide-3) patterned from the N-terminal region of the synaptic protein SNAP-25, positioned as a longer analog of the hexapeptide Argireline. Avcil et al. (2020) and Shin et al. (2024) characterized acetyl octapeptide-3 in hyaluronic-acid microneedle patch research formulations. Lyophilized powder, research-grade purity. For Research Use Only. Not for human consumption.

Description
A synthetic acetylated octapeptide (acetyl octapeptide-3) patterned from the N-terminal region of the SNAP-25 protein, studied in cosmetic dermatology research as a longer analog of the widely characterized hexapeptide Argireline.
SNAP-8 is the common research name for acetyl octapeptide-3, a synthetic eight-residue peptide whose sequence is modeled on the N-terminal region of the synaptosomal-associated protein SNAP-25. SNAP-25 is one of the SNARE-family proteins involved in vesicle docking and neurotransmitter release at nerve terminals. Where Argireline (acetyl hexapeptide-8) is the six-residue analog of the same SNAP-25 region, SNAP-8 extends that sequence to eight residues. Sold as lyophilized powder, research-grade purity.
Avcil et al. (2020) characterized acetyl octapeptide-3 as a component of a hyaluronic-acid microneedle patch formulation, examining skin surface metrics including hydration, density, and wrinkle-depth measurements in a monocentric research study. Shin et al. (2024) studied acetyl octapeptide-3 in a similar dissolving microneedle patch formulation, evaluating skin puncture behavior and dermatology-research surface metrics over a 28-day study window. Lungu et al. (2013) examined the related shorter acetyl hexapeptide (acetyl hexapeptide-8), providing scaffold-family context for how the SNAP-25 N-terminal peptide analogs behave in topical research formulations.

Lab reports
We independently test selected batches and publish those reports. Not every batch has one, and this strength and origin does not have a published report right now. You can read how certificates of analysis work, or browse every report we have published.
Shipping & Storage
Shipping
Orders ship within 24 hours. Delivered via USPS Priority or standard FedEx unless expedited shipping is selected at checkout. Tracking is emailed on dispatch and mirrored in your account.
In-transit handling
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable and ship at ambient temperature. Storage in our warehouse is cooled; shipment does not require refrigeration.
Long-term storage
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable at ambient temperature; refrigeration (2–8°C) extends shelf life. Where a published Certificate of Analysis exists for your strength and origin, it is on the COA tab. Not for human or animal consumption.
Returns
Because these are research-grade biologics, we cannot accept returns on opened vials. Damaged-in-transit shipments are replaced at no cost within 7 days of delivery.
Frequently asked
We independently test selected batches at a third-party lab and publish those certificates of analysis. Not every batch has one. The COA tab on each product shows whether the strength and origin you picked has a published report.
