Prostamax (Lys-Glu-Asp-Pro) is a synthetic tetrapeptide bioregulator studied for its association with chromatin decondensation in aging human lymphocyte cultures, including changes in pericentromeric heterochromatin and sister chromatid exchange frequency (Dzhokhadze et al., Georgian Med News 2012, PMID 23221144). Research-grade material. For Research Use Only. Not for human consumption.

Description
Prostamax (Lys-Glu-Asp-Pro) is a synthetic tetrapeptide developed within the short peptide bioregulator research program. It belongs to a family of tissue-specific tetrapeptides studied for age-related changes in chromatin packaging. The way a tightly wound spool of thread must loosen before more thread can be drawn from it, Prostamax is studied for its relationship to the decondensation of tightly packed heterochromatin in aging cell models.
Khavinson et al. examined Prostamax alongside four other short peptides in leukocyte cultures from subjects aged 75-88, documenting activation of ribosomal genes and decondensation of densely packed chromatin fibrils, with Prostamax specifically associated with decondensation of chromosome 1 pericentromeric structural chromatin (Bull Exp Biol Med, 2004, PMID 15085253). Dzhokhadze et al. reported that Prostamax exposure in lymphocytes from individuals aged 75-86 was associated with an increased frequency of sister chromatid exchanges and Ag-positive nucleolar organizer regions, along with changes in pericentromeric heterochromatin segments (Georgian Med News, 2012, PMID 23221144). Kiladze et al. used microcalorimetry to study Prostamax alongside Cu(II) and Cd(II) ions and their combined effects on the thermal denaturation profile of chromatin in aging human lymphocyte cultures (Georgian Med News, 2009, PMID 19359734 — full-text verification pending for Prostamax-specific endpoints).

Shipping & Storage
Shipping
Orders ship within 24 hours. Delivered via USPS Priority or standard FedEx unless expedited shipping is selected at checkout. Tracking is emailed on dispatch and mirrored in your account.
In-transit handling
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable and ship at ambient temperature. Storage in our warehouse is cooled; shipment does not require refrigeration.
Long-term storage
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable at ambient temperature; refrigeration (2–8°C) extends shelf life. Refer to the batch-specific Certificate of Analysis for material-specific storage guidance. Once reconstituted, follow the storage instructions on the batch COA. Not for human or animal consumption.
Returns
Because these are research-grade biologics, we cannot accept returns on opened vials. Damaged-in-transit shipments are replaced at no cost within 7 days of delivery.
