Description

It signals through a single G protein-coupled receptor, OXTR, which couples to Gαi and Gαq cascades including MAPK, PKC, PLC, and CaMK pathways. The way a lock accepts only one key, OXTR is the sole receptor through which oxytocin's documented research effects are mediated across a wide range of tissues and species.
