NA Semax Amidate is a modified analog of the synthetic heptapeptide Semax. Research on the parent peptide has examined its binding activity in rodent brain tissue (Dolotov et al., 2006, J Neurochem, PMID 16635254) and its relationship to BDNF and trkB expression (Dolotov et al., 2006, Brain Res, PMID 16996037). Sold research-grade only. For Research Use Only. Not for human consumption.
For laboratory research use only · Not for human or veterinary use.
Description
NA Semax Amidate is a modified analog of Semax (Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro), a synthetic heptapeptide derived from the 4-10 fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH). The N-acetyl and C-terminal amidate modifications are structural changes intended to alter peptide stability relative to the parent sequence. Research on the parent Semax peptide has focused on its binding activity in rodent brain tissue and its relationship to brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) signaling.
Dolotov et al., 2006 identified specific, calcium-dependent binding sites for Semax in rat basal forebrain tissue and documented increased BDNF protein levels in that region following intranasal administration in a rodent model (J Neurochem, PMID 16635254). A related study by Dolotov et al., 2006 found that Semax administration increased BDNF and trkB expression in the rat hippocampus, alongside changes in conditioned avoidance behavior in the same animals (Brain Res, PMID 16996037). Shadrina et al., 2010 examined the time course of NGF and BDNF gene expression in rat hippocampus, frontal cortex, and retina following Semax administration, observing region-specific and time-dependent expression patterns (J Mol Neurosci, PMID 19662538).

Specifications
Shipping & Storage
Shipping
Orders ship within 24 hours. Delivered via USPS Priority or standard FedEx unless expedited shipping is selected at checkout. Tracking is emailed on dispatch and mirrored in your account.
In-transit handling
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable and ship at ambient temperature. Storage in our warehouse is cooled; shipment does not require refrigeration.
Long-term storage
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable at ambient temperature; refrigeration (2–8°C) extends shelf life. Refer to the batch-specific Certificate of Analysis for material-specific storage guidance. Once reconstituted, follow the storage instructions on the batch COA. Not for human or animal consumption.
Returns
Because these are research-grade biologics, we cannot accept returns on opened vials. Damaged-in-transit shipments are replaced at no cost within 7 days of delivery.
