pep-LL3
Cathelicidin LL-37 is a 37-amino-acid cationic peptide generated from the human cathelicidin precursor hCAP18. Zanetti (Journal of Leukocyte Biology, 2004; PMID 12960280) documented its chemotactic activity toward multiple immune cell types in cited research. LL-37 appears on FDA's Category 2 bulk substance list, cited for immunogenicity and reproductive-tissue safety signals. For Research Use Only. Not for human consumption.

Description
LL-37 is the sole cathelicidin-family peptide identified in humans, structurally related to a broader family of host-defense peptides found across mammals. The way a building's alarm system alerts several response teams at once, LL-37 has been characterized in the literature as a signaling molecule with chemotactic activity toward multiple immune cell types, alongside its originally identified antimicrobial domain.
Zanetti (Journal of Leukocyte Biology, 2004; PMID 12960280) documented LL-37 as chemotactic for neutrophils, monocytes, mast cells, and T cells in cited research, alongside the cationic antimicrobial domain shared across the cathelicidin family. A companion review (Current Issues in Molecular Biology, 2005; PMID 16053249) examined LL-37's place within the innate host-defense literature in more depth. Tomasinsig et al. (Journal of Peptide Science, 2009; PMID 19472166) compared structure-activity relationships across primate cathelicidin orthologues in laboratory assays, finding that antibacterial potency and cytotoxicity varied with peptide charge and secondary structure. LL-37 is included on the FDA's Category 2 bulk drug substance list; cited nonclinical findings include reproductive-tissue and tumor-related signals that warrant continued research scrutiny.

Specifications
Lab reports
We independently test selected batches and publish those reports. Not every batch has one, and this strength and origin does not have a published report right now. You can read how certificates of analysis work, or browse every report we have published.
Shipping & Storage
Shipping
Orders ship within 24 hours. Delivered via USPS Priority or standard FedEx unless expedited shipping is selected at checkout. Tracking is emailed on dispatch and mirrored in your account.
In-transit handling
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable and ship at ambient temperature. Storage in our warehouse is cooled; shipment does not require refrigeration.
Long-term storage
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable at ambient temperature; refrigeration (2–8°C) extends shelf life. Where a published Certificate of Analysis exists for your strength and origin, it is on the COA tab. Not for human or animal consumption.
Returns
Because these are research-grade biologics, we cannot accept returns on opened vials. Damaged-in-transit shipments are replaced at no cost within 7 days of delivery.
Frequently asked
We independently test selected batches at a third-party lab and publish those certificates of analysis. Not every batch has one. The COA tab on each product shows whether the strength and origin you picked has a published report.
