pep-KPV-5mg-us
KPV — a synthetic tripeptide (Lys-Pro-Val) corresponding to the C-terminal sequence of α-MSH (11-13). Independent of melanocortin receptor signaling, KPV has been investigated in rodent colitis models for its interaction with inflammatory pathways (Sun et al., 2021, ACS Biomater Sci Eng — PMID 34547895). Lyophilized powder, research-grade. For Research Use Only. Not for human consumption.
For laboratory research use only · Not for human or veterinary use.
Description
KPV (Lysine-Proline-Valine) is a synthetic tripeptide corresponding to the C-terminal sequence of α-MSH (11-13). Separate from the melanocortin receptor activity that governs α-MSH's pigmentation signaling, KPV has been studied in cellular and rodent models for its interaction with inflammatory pathways, including NF-κB and proinflammatory cytokine expression. Formulation research groups have also explored hydrogel and nanoparticle delivery systems designed to increase the tripeptide's stability under laboratory conditions.
Sun et al., 2021 (ACS Biomaterials Science & Engineering) formulated KPV in a self-cross-linked hydrogel and examined its stability and activity in a TNBS-induced ulcerative colitis rat model. Xiao et al., 2017 (Molecular Therapy) investigated hyaluronic acid-functionalized nanoparticle delivery of KPV in a mouse model of ulcerative colitis, evaluating mucosal and inflammatory markers. Songok et al., 2018 (PLoS ONE) examined structural modification of the KPV tripeptide by glycoalkylation of its lysine residue, evaluating proteolytic stability and antimicrobial activity in vitro.
For Research Use Only. Not for human consumption.

Shipping & Storage
Shipping
Orders ship within 24 hours. Delivered via USPS Priority or standard FedEx unless expedited shipping is selected at checkout. Tracking is emailed on dispatch and mirrored in your account.
In-transit handling
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable and ship at ambient temperature. Storage in our warehouse is cooled; shipment does not require refrigeration.
Long-term storage
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable at ambient temperature; refrigeration (2–8°C) extends shelf life. Refer to the batch-specific Certificate of Analysis for material-specific storage guidance. Once reconstituted, follow the storage instructions on the batch COA. Not for human or animal consumption.
Returns
Because these are research-grade biologics, we cannot accept returns on opened vials. Damaged-in-transit shipments are replaced at no cost within 7 days of delivery.
