GHRP-2 (growth hormone-releasing peptide-2) is a synthetic hexapeptide of the growth hormone secretagogue family, engaging the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR) shared with the endogenous ligand ghrelin. Muccioli et al. (J Endocrinol 1998; PMID 9614363) characterized specific, saturable binding sites for synthetic secretagogues, including GHRP-2, in human pituitary and hypothalamic membrane preparations. Sold research-grade, for laboratory use only. For Research Use Only. Not for human consumption.

Description
GHRP-2 (growth hormone-releasing peptide-2) is a synthetic hexapeptide of the growth hormone secretagogue family, structurally distinct from endogenous growth hormone-releasing hormone. The way a key fits a specific lock among many similar locks, GHRP-2 engages the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR), a G protein-coupled receptor also bound by the endogenous ligand ghrelin, a mechanism studied extensively in pituitary and central-nervous-system tissue research.
Muccioli, Ghè, Ghigo, Papotti, Arvat, Boghen, Nilsson, Deghenghi, Ong, and Ghigo (J Endocrinol 1998; PMID 9614363) characterized specific, saturable binding sites for synthetic growth hormone secretagogues, including GHRP-2, in membranes isolated from human pituitary gland, hypothalamus, and other brain regions, reporting nanomolar-range binding affinities. Suzuki, Ruike, Ishiwata, Naito, Igarashi, Ishida, Fujimoto, Koide, Horiguchi, Tatsuno, and Yokote (J Endocr Soc 2022; PMID 35795807) examined GHRP-2 administration within an endocrine testing study design, measuring growth hormone and adrenocorticotropic hormone response profiles to characterize the pharmacodynamics of GHSR-mediated pituitary signaling in an adult study cohort. Teramoto, Tahara, Hattori, Kondo, and Morita (Growth Horm IGF Res 2023; PMID 37295337) examined growth hormone response to GHRP-2 administration in a cohort of elderly study participants undergoing preoperative endocrine stimulation testing, measuring correlations between GHSR-stimulated GH release and adrenocortical function markers.

Shipping & Storage
Shipping
Orders ship within 24 hours. Delivered via USPS Priority or standard FedEx unless expedited shipping is selected at checkout. Tracking is emailed on dispatch and mirrored in your account.
In-transit handling
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable and ship at ambient temperature. Storage in our warehouse is cooled; shipment does not require refrigeration.
Long-term storage
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable at ambient temperature; refrigeration (2–8°C) extends shelf life. Refer to the batch-specific Certificate of Analysis for material-specific storage guidance. Once reconstituted, follow the storage instructions on the batch COA. Not for human or animal consumption.
Returns
Because these are research-grade biologics, we cannot accept returns on opened vials. Damaged-in-transit shipments are replaced at no cost within 7 days of delivery.
