Acetic Acid Solution is a higher-concentration acetic acid reagent supplied for peptide research applications, including solid-phase peptide synthesis and reversed-phase chromatography. Pawlas et al. (2025) documented acetic acid as a PFAS-free substitute for trifluoroacetic acid in peptide resin cleavage chemistry. Lab-grade solution. For Research Use Only. Not for human consumption.
For laboratory research use only · Not for human or veterinary use.
Description
Acetic Acid Solution is a higher-concentration acetic acid preparation supplied as a laboratory reagent, distinct from the dilute Acetic Acid Water preparation. Acetic acid is used in peptide research settings as a mobile-phase component in reversed-phase chromatography and as a reagent in solid-phase peptide synthesis chemistry, where it has been studied as a substitute for more hazardous reagents.
Pawlas et al. (2025) documented acetic acid combined with iron(III) chloride as a PFAS-free substitute for trifluoroacetic acid for resin cleavage in Fmoc/t-Bu solid-phase peptide synthesis, part of a broader effort toward sustainable peptide synthesis chemistry. Petersson et al. (2023) examined acetic acid and ammonium acetate mobile phases in reversed-phase chromatographic methods developed for assessing the purity of pharmaceutical peptides. Starovoit et al. (2026) benchmarked acetic acid against formic and propionic acid as mobile-phase acidifiers in reversed-phase LC-MS proteomics workflows.
For Research Use Only. Not for human consumption.

Shipping & Storage
Shipping
Orders ship within 24 hours. Delivered via USPS Priority or standard FedEx unless expedited shipping is selected at checkout. Tracking is emailed on dispatch and mirrored in your account.
In-transit handling
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable and ship at ambient temperature. Storage in our warehouse is cooled; shipment does not require refrigeration.
Long-term storage
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable at ambient temperature; refrigeration (2–8°C) extends shelf life. Refer to the batch-specific Certificate of Analysis for material-specific storage guidance. Once reconstituted, follow the storage instructions on the batch COA. Not for human or animal consumption.
Returns
Because these are research-grade biologics, we cannot accept returns on opened vials. Damaged-in-transit shipments are replaced at no cost within 7 days of delivery.
