Pancragen (Lys-Glu-Asp-Trp) is a synthetic tetrapeptide investigated for its association with pancreatic islet and acinar cell differentiation markers in aging research models, with glucose clearance and insulin/C-peptide dynamics measured in an aged non-human primate study using glimepiride as an active comparator (Goncharova et al., Adv Gerontol 2015, PMID 28509500). Research-grade material, supplied for laboratory use only. For Research Use Only. Not for human consumption.

Description
Pancragen (Lys-Glu-Asp-Trp) is a synthetic tetrapeptide developed within the short peptide bioregulator research program at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. It belongs to a family of tissue-specific tetrapeptides studied for their relationship to gene expression patterns in aging cell populations. The way a transcription factor like Pdx1 tells a developing pancreatic cell which genes to switch on, Pancragen is studied for its association with the expression of these same differentiation factors in aged pancreatic tissue.
Goncharova et al. investigated Pancragen administration in aged female rhesus monkeys, measuring glucose clearance rate and plasma insulin and C-peptide dynamics across pre-, during-, and post-treatment intervals, with glimepiride as an active comparator arm (Adv Gerontol, 2014, PMID 25946840; Adv Gerontol, 2015, PMID 28509500). Khavinson et al. examined Pancragen's association with differentiation-factor expression (Pdx1, Pax6, Pax4, Foxa2, Nkx2.2) in aging pancreatic acinar and islet cell cultures (Bull Exp Biol Med, 2013, PMID 23486591).

Shipping & Storage
Shipping
Orders ship within 24 hours. Delivered via USPS Priority or standard FedEx unless expedited shipping is selected at checkout. Tracking is emailed on dispatch and mirrored in your account.
In-transit handling
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable and ship at ambient temperature. Storage in our warehouse is cooled; shipment does not require refrigeration.
Long-term storage
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable at ambient temperature; refrigeration (2–8°C) extends shelf life. Refer to the batch-specific Certificate of Analysis for material-specific storage guidance. Once reconstituted, follow the storage instructions on the batch COA. Not for human or animal consumption.
Returns
Because these are research-grade biologics, we cannot accept returns on opened vials. Damaged-in-transit shipments are replaced at no cost within 7 days of delivery.
