HGH Fragment 176-191 is a synthetic 15-amino-acid sequence corresponding to the C-terminal domain of human growth hormone, studied for retaining the intact hormone's antilipogenic activity in isolated lipid-metabolism research models. Wu and Ng (Biochem Mol Biol Int 1993; PMID 8358331) observed antilipogenic activity matching that of intact growth hormone in a rat model, without a measurable lipolytic effect on fat-pad glycerol release. Sold research-grade, for laboratory use only. For Research Use Only. Not for human consumption.

Description
HGH Fragment 176-191 corresponds to the C-terminal 15-amino-acid sequence of the human growth hormone molecule, isolated as the structural domain investigated for the antilipogenic activity of the intact hormone. The way a single tool from a larger kit can be used on its own, the isolated 176-191 sequence has been studied for retaining specific lipid-metabolism activity of the full-length hormone in laboratory models.
Wu and Ng (Biochem Mol Biol Int 1993; PMID 8358331) synthesized the C-terminal 177-191 sequence of human growth hormone and observed antilipogenic activity in a rat model matching that of the intact hormone, with no measurable lipolytic effect on glycerol release from epididymal fat pads. Ng, Jiang, Gianello, Pitt, and Roupas (J Mol Endocrinol 2000; PMID 11116208) examined the synthesized 177-191 domain (referred to as AOD9401 in the study) in isolated rat adipose tissue, reporting stimulation of hormone-sensitive lipase activity and inhibition of acetyl coenzyme A carboxylase activity, alongside decreased average adipocyte cell size following chronic treatment in Zucker fatty rats. Heffernan, Jiang, Thorburn, and Ng (Am J Physiol Endocrinol Metab 2000; PMID 10950816) studied oral administration of the same domain in a rodent model and in isolated human adipose tissue samples, observing increased lipolytic activity and decreased lipogenic activity ex vivo alongside lower body weight gain relative to controls over a 30-day study period.

Specifications
Shipping & Storage
Shipping
Orders ship within 24 hours. Delivered via USPS Priority or standard FedEx unless expedited shipping is selected at checkout. Tracking is emailed on dispatch and mirrored in your account.
In-transit handling
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable and ship at ambient temperature. Storage in our warehouse is cooled; shipment does not require refrigeration.
Long-term storage
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable at ambient temperature; refrigeration (2–8°C) extends shelf life. Refer to the batch-specific Certificate of Analysis for material-specific storage guidance. Once reconstituted, follow the storage instructions on the batch COA. Not for human or animal consumption.
Returns
Because these are research-grade biologics, we cannot accept returns on opened vials. Damaged-in-transit shipments are replaced at no cost within 7 days of delivery.
