Acetic Acid Water is a dilute aqueous acetic acid reagent supplied for peptide research laboratory use, including reversed-phase chromatography and mass spectrometry workflows. Acetic acid is documented as a mobile-phase acidifier for pharmaceutical peptide purity assessment (Petersson et al., 2023). Lab-grade aqueous solution. For Research Use Only. Not for human consumption.
For laboratory research use only · Not for human or veterinary use.
Description
Acetic Acid Water is a low-concentration aqueous solution of acetic acid, supplied as a laboratory reagent for peptide research applications. Dilute acetic acid is a longstanding component of reversed-phase liquid chromatography mobile phases used in peptide separation and purity assessment, and has more recently been examined as a volatile acidifying additive for mass spectrometry-based proteomics workflows.
Petersson et al. (2023) evaluated an acetic acid and ammonium acetate mobile phase, buffered at pH 5, for assessing peak purity in reversed-phase chromatographic separation of pharmaceutical peptide isomers. Starovoit et al. (2026) compared acetic acid against formic and propionic acid as mobile-phase acidifiers in high-flow reversed-phase LC-MS proteomics, examining effects on peptide identification and electrospray ionization sensitivity. Pawlas et al. (2025) documented acetic acid combined with iron(III) chloride as a PFAS-free substitute for trifluoroacetic acid in solid-phase peptide synthesis resin cleavage chemistry.
For Research Use Only. Not for human consumption.

Shipping & Storage
Shipping
Orders ship within 24 hours. Delivered via USPS Priority or standard FedEx unless expedited shipping is selected at checkout. Tracking is emailed on dispatch and mirrored in your account.
In-transit handling
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable and ship at ambient temperature. Storage in our warehouse is cooled; shipment does not require refrigeration.
Long-term storage
Lyophilized vials are shelf-stable at ambient temperature; refrigeration (2–8°C) extends shelf life. Refer to the batch-specific Certificate of Analysis for material-specific storage guidance. Once reconstituted, follow the storage instructions on the batch COA. Not for human or animal consumption.
Returns
Because these are research-grade biologics, we cannot accept returns on opened vials. Damaged-in-transit shipments are replaced at no cost within 7 days of delivery.
